EP2: How Life-changing Dental Care Creates a Better Future

The SmilesForAll initiative, led by Faculty of Dentistry, aims to serve Hong Kong’s underprivileged communities with advanced multidisciplinary dental care. Severe diseases of the mouth and jaws, such as cancer, inflamed gums, tooth decay, and facial deformities, can have a devastating impact on someone’s life, where something as simple as smiling becomes a real challenge.

Two dental professionals in blue scrubs and protective gear are performing a dental procedure on a patient lying in a dental chair. The patient is receiving treatment under a bright dental light in a modern clinic setting.

This project provides life-changing care to those suffering from these conditions, improving their overall well-being and self-confidence. By addressing the dental health needs of the underprivileged, SmilesForAll enhances their quality of life and fosters a healthier, more inclusive community.

Your support enables HKU to continue providing essential dental care to those in need. Together, we can improve lives and foster a healthier community.
