Attention all alumni, athletes, and sports enthusiasts – come join our first-ever Sports & Business Forum at Rayson Huang Theatre on Sunday March 17!

Following the Opening Remarks from our Dean, we will be treated to an inspiring speech from Fenella Ng, who is a Hong Kong three-time Olympian in two sports (swimming & rowing), as well as Sydney Games 2000 Opening Ceremony Flagbearer.

Fenella will then moderate the “Balancing Life as a Business School Student & Star Athlete” panel session featuring Liam Doherty, Men’s Rugby Asian Games 2023 Gold Medal & Player of the Tournament, as well as Sandy Choi, who is a current member of the Hong Kong Sailing Team who placed 1st in the 2021 49er FX Asian Championships.  Sandy is also a former member of the Hong Kong Windsurfing Team.

Our second keynote speech will be delivered by a Hong Kong basketball legend and true giant of the game, Duncan Reid.  He will share about his exciting basketball career from captaining the Hong Kong basketball team to being the first local player in the CBA, to now running his own hoops school to train the next generation of homegrown basketball stars.

Next, our famous alumnus, Olympian, singer, actor, and sports entrepreneur, Alex Fong, will sit down for a fireside chat with current i-Cable News Anchor & former HKU Sports Scholar, Cheryl Yuen.

There will also be another panel discussion on “The Business of Sport” featuring Hugo Jehlen (CEO – Decathlon Hong Kong), David Lee (CEO – NEX), and Ben Wiggins (Partnerships Strategic Lead for Asia – Chelsea FC).  This panel will be led by Adrian Chan, Director of Executive Education at HKU Business School.

Lastly, our shirt sponsor Li Ning’s Vice-President, Feng Ye, will wrap things up with a brief closing remarks..

Simultaneous interpretation in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese will be provided.

Attendees will receive complimentary swag in the form of a special edition Li Ning x HKU Business School polo t-shirt.

Over 300 alumni, students, and members of the public are expected to attend – seats are FREE but nearly sold out, so please RSVP ASAP to secure your spot.
